Absolute Startup – A Wealth of Info about Apps that Load at Startup
Remember the time you installed the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system on your machine and the darn thing would boot up in a blink of an eye? Yes, those were the days! But as time moved on, you installed and installed a lot of applications on top of the Windows operating system (OS). If in the past you would just press the power button and presto, Windows would be up and running, now you can go prepare a sandwich and pour yourself hot cup of coffee safe in the knowledge that by the time you get back the operating system is still booting.
The OS used to boot up in no time at all because the only thing it loaded at startup was, well, the operating system. The applications you kept installing on top of it? Most of them load up at startup, causing the OS to take forever to boot up.
There is something you can do: you can mange the applications that load at startup. And this is where a F-Group Software-developed application called Absolute StartUp comes in. The application weighs in at under 3Mb, so downloading it onto your computer should take a but a moment. The installation process goes along at a fast pace. Just launch the setup wizard and about 9 clicks afterwards Absolute StartUp is ready to go.
In an easy to figure out interface the application provides a wealth of information about the applications that load at startup. You can view this information, you can edit apps that load at startup, backup, export, disable or delete them.
Absolute StartUp also features an Optimization wizard that will check the current startup list and attempt to optimize it.
Absolute StartUp features scheduling functionality. You can use the schedule feature to select which programs have to be started on weekdays, which have to be started on weekends, which have to be started on specific days, and, which can be loaded after Windows loads, and so on.
If you’re looking for a startup manager that can provide you with a wealth of information on applications that load at startup, and can do a properly good job of managing them, then get Absolute StartUp.
